All patients have a treatment and discharge plan. Your discharge begins when your doctor advises it.
Our staff will ensure everything is in order before your leave, including:
Scheduling follow-up appointments, if needed.
Providing discharge medications with detailed instructions on use and potential side effects.
Offering basic self-care instructions and health education.
Giving you a summary of your treatment.
We'll also call you within 24 hours of discharge to check on your well-being.
Take all discharge medications and follow instructions carefully.
Don't miss any scheduled follow-up appointments.
Double-check your bedside cabinet and safe for personal belongings.
Return any borrowed hospital items.
Discharge advice is usually provided during morning rounds (8 AM - 10 AM).
Discharge paperwork is prepared between 10 AM - 12 PM.
You can expect to be discharged between 12 PM - 2 PM.
