  • For urgent care needs or same-day consultations, visit our Medical Officers at the AEH-GOPD or a nearby Health Center.

  • Uncomplicated conditions or acute needs: See a Medical Officer at the AEH-GOPD or a Health Center.

  • Non-communicable diseases (NCDs): Register with our NCD clinic.

How to Decide Where to Go:

  • Our Medical Officers are experts at guiding you to the right level of care. They can assess your condition and determine if a specialist is needed. This saves you time and avoids unnecessary specialist visits.

Planning Your Visit:

  • Complete any pre-visit tests or scans as instructed.

  • Follow specific fasting instructions provided for your appointment.

What to Bring:

  • Identification: Maldivians - National ID Card, Foreigners - Passport.

  • For Foreign Workers: Work permit (in addition to passport).

  • Medical Insurance/Benefits: Insurance cards or relevant documents.

  • Referral (if applicable): Request a referral letter from your doctor including: diagnosis, current condition, referral reason, current medications.

  • Medications: Bring any medications you're currently taking.

  • Medical Records (optional): X-rays or investigation records from the last 6 months (if available).

Fasting Instructions:

  • Fast from food and drinks after 10:00 pm the night before specific procedures or investigations (e.g., upper GI endoscopy).
